Race Pictures

HERE are some pictures from the 12 Hours of Northern Kettles. If you see a picture and would like the larger file, please e-mail me at Brittany@BrittanyNigh.com and I'd be happy to send it along.

Thank you to everyone who came out to race. It was a great day, despite a few rain drops, and the trail is now better for it!

Thanks to Ric Damm, here's another link to look at for pictures.

Please check back, as there are a few other photographers I know of who will be posting their pics as well.

Thanks!!

A few other interesting tid bits of info

Thanks to "Massage by Becky", we'll be offering massage services after each of the races on Saturday. be sure and stop by her table and give Post Race Massage a try. You'll feel so good, you'll want to come back for 12 more hours of riding on Sunday!

Also, thanks to Jeff Melcher from Cycling Form and Fitness and myself ("Sell or Buy with Brittany Nigh") we'll have some post race snacks for everyone. I'm whipping up a batch of my famous turkey chili as I type. So be sure to join us for some delicious food after your race.

Camping Friday and Saturday, registration Friday

Don't forget kids, there will be camping at this lovely 12 hour WEMS event this year. We have a nice sized group site (#2) that should nicely accommodate numerous tents as well as several pop-ups/RV's. Camping will be $5 per tent per night, look for the signs.

Also open registration Friday evening 6-8pm. We will be set up in the shelter.

There's also a fire pit we hope to have going Friday night.

And don't forget that spectacular raffle we have every year. Proceeds are donated to the local food pantry and the Friends of the Forest. Be sure to bring you dollars to score some sweet STUFF and donate to two worthy causes.

UPDATES - FINALLY!!

Finally we have some updates to share.

First, the course layout will utilize the new singletrack completed last year. Unfortunately the double track/ski trail has been officially closed and reseeded, so the DNR will not allow us to use an inch of this trail. We will be running the race as a combination of the existing loops, looping back into the lower parking lot area for timing.

Second, there will be overnight camping at this race, but it will ONLY be in the designated camping areas. As nice as it would be to set up camp along side of the race course to make Saturday morning easier, we will not be allowed to do this. There is a group camp area just down a bit from the trail head that we have reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. Team Pedal Moraine has one large group site that we will be setting campers up in. Camping will be $5 a night per tent. We will be on site Friday through Sunday to help facilitate camping set-up.

There is room for a few wheeled camping vehicles (pop ups or RV's), however these vehicles will need to stay off the grass and will be parked in an adjoining gravel lot - just so you're prepared.

There will be open registration FRIDAY night from 6-8pm for anyone wishing to take care of their registration ahead of time. We will then open again Saturday morning by 6:30am.

You are welcome to set your pit areas up Saturday morning along the race course, again no overnight camping will be allowed in this area (sorry).

All vehicles must park on the hard surfaced parking lot, or in the overflow lot south of the main lot.

I believe there will be a few more updates to bring you, but I wanted to get the basics out there since we were just able to finalize these details.
