2012 Greenbush race Pictures

Thank you to all who participated in this year's Greenbush WEMS race.  Here's the link to the pictures I took.  I wish I would have had more time to park out in the woods and snap shots. . . .maybe next year.

Enjoy.

Greenbush address - directions

Please visit the DNR's web site for more information and mapping coordinates on getting to the Greenbush trail system.  As the web site notes, the directions and coordinates are listed under the Recreation areas and campgrounds.

 http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/kmn/directions.html

There is ONE parking lot at the trail head, this is where the event will take place.  Don't worry, it won't be hard to miss.  It will be the only parking lot with lots of cars, signs to lead you to the event, banners, caution tape and people riding their bikes.  Registration will be in the shelter.

CAMPING INFORMATION

I've had several e-mails about camping for the Greenbush WEMS race this upcoming weekend.  I wanted to make sure this was clearly posted as I keep getting the same questions.

There are GROUP camping sites available at Greenbush.  They are on a first come, first serve basis, and may already be reserved (I have no control over that).  To reserve a specific group camp site, you need to go to the DNR's web page and reserve there.  To make it easy for you, here is the link directly to the camping page of the DNR's web site:  http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/kmn/camping.html

The team running the race (Team Pedal Moraine) has reserved ONE group camp site, since in the past we've only had a few people inquire about camping.  This camp site should accommodate a number of tents.  There is a limited amount of space for pop-ups and/or RV's, as as of now, if you haven't e-mailed me individually and received a confirmation we could accommodate your pop-up, please assume there is only room for tents.

Our team has paid for this site for both Friday and Saturday nights for any racers who may be interested in putting up a tent.  We are asking for a $5 contribution per tent, per night for you to stay at this group site to help recover our cost for renting the site.  You can pay for camping at registration.

Any further questions on camping, please see the DNR's web site (listed above) or drop me an e-mail if you can't find the answer there.

Thanks!
